This is the day trip boat that goes from Glacier Bay Lodge in Bartlett Cove. It's a fantastic trip on a good sized boat. The trip to the glaciers is a couple of hours, but filled with wildlife and fantastic scenery and when you arrive at the Carving Glacier, they just take your breathe away. A great day out.

This was a great day trip. We boarded the boat at about 7 A.M. for a 7:30 A.M. departure. It's a quick 5 minute walk from the main lodge building if you are staying there. The day started out rainy and overcast but cleared as we went up the bay towards the glaciers. We even had a blue sky on... More

Traveled south east Alaska independently (no cruise) for 2 weeks. This was far and away my favorite excursion. Announced capacity of vessel was 160 passengers with 80 persons on board 15 July 2016. That provided everyone with plenty of space. It was a beautiful day. We Saw Wildlife There are many seabirds seen throughout the cruise of Glacier Bay. We... More

This about the day Glacier Bay cruise offered by the Glacier Bay National Park Hotel with the National Park Ranger as the Guide. He was very good at what he doe's but at times very difficult to hear him from all the noisy people going to and from their Kayaking adventures who were on board. It seemed to us that... More

I booked this 8 hour trip along with lodging at glacier bay lodge through their website. This tour is $225 but worth every penny. It was a clear day so we were able to see all kinds of wildlife including bears, humpbacks, orcas, stellar sea lions, goats, otters, puffins and more! This is run by Allen Marine Tours for the... We had a boat tour on a very wet day so there was not a lot of wildlife to see. Also it was the end of the season so do not feel that the actual naturist or park ranger took into consideration any of the actual customer needs. At one stage we were ahead of schedule so the captain went... More

We loved the 8 hour tour through the bay, seeing so many glaciers, whales, and other wildlife. The park ranger who narrated the tour was excellent. There was a light breakfast with hot drinks and a filling lunch provided without extra charge. I recommend highly. It is cold even in July, so bring a coat or layers of jackets.

Great view and great day at the Glacier. We even got to see a little of it break off. Bring a good camera with a long zoom. 50X worked great for us.

We had seen Glacier Bay from a cruise ship, but this boat trip is so much better. The boat is very nice, clean, and the food is great. The best thing is that the boat is able to get closer to the islands and glacier than the cruise ship. You get to see much more wildlife - whales, bears, seals,... More
