It's fascinating to see such a lush area in the middle of the otherwise arid trails that go down the South Rim.

Nice campground! Nice pit-stop (if not camping). Helpful ranger, too. Pluses include shade, potable water (usually), stream for you weary feet. Perhaps a little crowded, but barely.

This is a beautiful, shaded area to re-fill your water and rest before the rough hike out of the canyon. It looks like a nice camping area but I did not camp here.

Indian Garden is a great campground (permit required) for an overnight stop heading into or out of the GC from the south rim. restrooms and running water are available. There's a creek you can soak your feet in.

Indian Garden is a nice rest area not too far from the river. It is shaded and has water available. If you're in need of some shade, this is a perfect place to find.
