We took the orange line shuttle bus to get to this point and have a few wow moment before we took dozens of photos. Not as crowded as the others point makes here the better shooting point...

Went with the first shuttle bus to catch the sunrise. Beautiful view of the canyon and not a lot of people. Highly recommended!

This is my favorite spot for taking photos at sunrise or sunset. The colors are the best here. Be sure to shot your pictures from both directions to get all the colors.

I would highly recommend that you take the hike trail to Ooh Aah point, is a really nice walk and the view is breathtaking. If you like, you can hike further down the canyon.

We went there early enough (what was very hard thanks to jetlag!) to watch the sunrise and it was sooooo worth waking up early!

If you are in a hurry, this is not too far from the village and Mather Point. It has decent parking and great views.

We woke at 3:45am to get on the 4:30am bus to see the sunrise. I will say it was cool to be there in the dark since you look into a void of nothing. Really a strange feeling. As the sun started to push rays...More

From Yaki viewpoint you have the best sunset view over a big part of the Canyon. Don't forget to look at the clouds in the sky, while they get very special effects too.

Yaki Point is along Desert View Drive, and is the eastern-most stop made by the orange shuttle line. It is not open to individual cars. I think taking the shuttle is easiest, though you could also use the park's taxi... More
