Very interesting place. Husband love it. It was hot so we went through quickly but the church on site is beautiful. Not sure if my teenagers really liked the history and walking in the heat. I certainly enjoyed it especially after seeing it from the...More

Chapel of Transfiguration, the Ferry and the buildings with this trail carry with it a lot of interesting history. We enjoyed learning about the pioneers of this area, how the Ferry works (which I guess they do demonstrations occasionally we did not see that) and...More

Educational. Amazed by how they took the ferry across when the water is flowing so strong. Enjoyed the general store and our visit there.

We saw this from our float trip on the Snake River. Once onshore we hiked over to see the buildings. It was pretty incredible to see all the history.

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the first cabin in this area, the old ferry crossing, general store, Church of the Transfiguration and the first wagon to reach this area from the east.

I love history, so I was interested in seeing this park of the park. I didn't know much about the early days of the park prior to visiting here, so I enjoyed seeing the ferry and "store" and Maud's cabin.
