We went on this hike about 8:30am and was a good time to do it. By the time we finished there were cars lined up and down the road and the trail was getting much more crowded on the way down. The first half of...More

Pretty challenging uphill hike. Unfortunately it poured rain most ofour hike, so once at top, too cloudy to see much. But worth the experience.

We know before we started the trail that we won't be able to make it to very top because of the fire. Overall, we are glad that we made the trek, although the view from the new observation deck was good but not spectacular, hence...More

So I have done LeConte and Charlies Bunyon. This time I did Chimney Tops. It was about 2 miles up and 2 miles down. It was a great hike! There are a couple stair parts to the trail that were a little steep, but it...More

Beautiful view once you reach the top after the steep hike. Our calves were burning! The views of the mountain tops were great. It's too bad the end of the trail was damaged during the wildfires as we heard that peak allowed for 360 degree...More

If you like short day hikes, then this is a great one. With that said, it is also a very deceptive one and will lull you into its beauty and then break you with its beast. The entire hike is only 2 miles one way...More

After reading other reviews I believe I am probably in the minority here, but I did not think this hike was worth the effort. There was some beautiful water along the way as it had been raining for 3-4 days, though. There are approximately 425...More

This was a fun hike overall, but was definitely tough. Granted, we’re not the most avid hikers, but we’re not completely out of shape either and we struggled with the steep climb and stairs. The view was worth it, but definitely prep yourself mentally for...More

Most of the other trails are open. If you are up for a tough hike Mt, Cammerer fire tower is a great but hard hike. Charlies Bunion is a great but hard hike. If you are looking for something easy to get to Clingmans dome has... More
