The Oasis of Mara is a short trail, but it's got a lot to see and you can learn a lot at Visitor's Center.

The northern entrance to Joshua Tree was informational and the staff very helpful. But, the Oasis was blah...nothing to see. Bathrooms are porta-potties....

It was a short interpretive trail with signs along the path. We saw a lot of birds, lizards, cacti, and other vegetation. Lovely and spacious.

This is a natural oasis and the importance of this oasis cannot be underestimated. You can still hike around the oasis on a paved pathway. Let your imagination flow with the great heritage of this site !

Out back of the visitor center is a well maintained walk to the Oaisis. Stop to read the signs and take picture's on the way down. Oaisis was surrounded by giant palm's. Many bird's and animal's were running around the water. Can't miss place.
