I hiked the full loop & finished as the sun was setting. It is a peaceful hike, but you will work up a sweat during the first portion. Bring some water & your camera!

There are such a variety of views along this trail. We really enjoyed taking a couple of hours to take in the quiet and the changing views along the way. If you have the time, I highly recommend this hike when you visit the park....More

This definitely wasn't my favorite hike, it was long, dusty and not much to look at until you get to the mine. If your looking for scenery, I would suggest skipping this hike.

I'll be the first to say I'm out of shape. Could stand to lose about 100 lbs and have a BMI of 4000 or so but I can still run 1/4 mile carrying 25lbs of gear for work so I'm not totally dead yet. I...More

Summary for the longer 6+ mile loop trail: --get to the parking lot at the trailhead early. By the time we got back to the lot it was full and there's no overflow parking --requires actual hiking boots, though trail running shoes might be ok....More

Hiked to the Lost Horse Mine. Beautiful trail amid hills with great views of the park and surrounding area. A few other people on the trail, but not busy. Only issue was we couldn't use the bathroom at the trailhead because there was a wasp...More
