This is a 4.5 miles out and back hike. The trail head is off Highway 20 and on the opposite side of the highway is the parking area. The trail is fairly rocky or covered with tree roots. The turnaround for the trail is Pyramid Lake. It is a calm lake with logs floating on the lake. I took me... More

We do a lot of hiking but this hike was the worst we have ever done. Poor footing and uphill to the lake, the lake isn't much, no mountain views and such and coming back even though downhill the footing again was terrible. The path is full of rocks and roots and there aren't any views as you hike. Not... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this hike during our three night stay in the Northern Cascades. The hike gains about 1500' of elevation over 2 miles so be prepared for a challenging climb. The trail is also quite narrow and rocky which made the hike a little slower than we anticipated. It took us about an hour and a half to arrive... More

If you decide to do the Pyramid Lake trail, do it for the workout, not the destination. This trail is a little over 4 miles round trip with a 1500 foot elevation gain. There are lots of rocks, tree stumps, and when I was there, an occasional tree down. After getting off this trail I noticed my right boot (shoe)... More
