It's easy to drive up and at the end you receive some breathtaking views of the mountains. The visitor center was closed when we were there but a little shop was open with a cafe.

It is worth the drive up to this centre to take in the stunning views. There is good parking when you arrive and on a clear day there views are breath-taking. For souvenirs there is a good gift shop with a reasonable selection and also...More

We stopped here before and after hiking Hurricane Ridge. The staff here was very kind and answered all our questions; they helped our son when he was working towards his junior ranger badge; they truly do seem happy to be doing their work with the...More

Hurricane ridge is lovely and truly is enough for those who can't hike for whatever reason. It is breathtaking and lots of thick-furred deer to see. However, if you can I highly recommend Hurricane Hill. Your heart will be pumping at the end but it...More

How do you describe in words what a picture doesn't even do justice to. It is a 17 miles drive up to this visitor center and the drive alone is worth the cost of admission. Once you reach the top it is hard to not...More

Mighty mountains all around. Would like to go back hiking in the Olympic NP som other time. We only visit for a short time and drove up here to get a view. The highest mountain was covered by clouds, unfortunately.

Clear road to top. Views of distant snow covered peaks. Turnouts provide additional views of Sound, Fall color and Mt Baker in distance. Not crazy about the large parking lot which was the first thing I noticed on reaching the top.

I "think" it is b/c I don't remember any switchbacks. But I would call the Visitors Center to make sure.
