Beautiful moderate 3.6 mile hike although layer up as weather change change quickly. 700 ft elevation gain with outstanding views. Pass the visitor center about 1/2 mile or so to the parking lot. Well marked & maintained trail.

Start early in the morning to get there as the park opens for the least crowds. The drive up is 17 miles but takes much longer than you think as the road is winding its way up the mountain side. A little nerve wracking of...More

The Visitor's Center is above the tree line, with a lot of trails around it. There's a short movie to watch and a good gift shop. Just be aware that the two trails that are marked "Accessible" have a bit of an incline to get...More

Though there's a bit of a drive to get to the visitor center, Hurricane Ridge offers an incredible view of the Olympic Mountain Range. It's awe inspiring and worth the drive there (about 30 minutes from Port Angeles). There are numerous trails, short and long,...More

Loved our visit to Hurricane Ridge. It was cloudy near Sequim where we were staying and thought the day would be a bust. It wasn’t!! We drove thru the clouds and then burst into beautiful sunshine when we arrived. You never know what you are...More

This is a spectacular drive from Port Angeles. Definitely stop at the Visitor's Center for an overview of all the sights. Worth the price $25, but as seniors we have a pass for all National Parks, which was worth getting.

We were going to stop at the temporary visitor center, but it was packed and no parking. We went on in and drove a couple of miles to get to the gate. One of the rangers was sending people with lifetime national park passes on...More

We had a little different view of the area due to fires through out the northwest. It was a bit smoky, but the ridges were still distinct and interesting. We hiked the Cirque Rim and High Ridge trails and had beautiful views of the area...More

Amazing views from the inner lot! Paths to walk at the top and we were above the clouds! Windy road but not as bad as the one in Zion National Park. Just watch for animals!

It's a windy road with just one lane in either direction and pretty steep slopes. It is better to leave your trailer at lake crescent lodge.

I think its doable as long as you start your day early. From Port Angeles to Hurricane ridge it is about 40mins depending on what day you are going. If you go on a weekend there might be traffic going up the Ridge since... More
