This is a 9 or 10 mile hike, depending on which source you believe. It's an absolutely spectacular hike, particularly when going down the Odessa Lake canyon. You leave one from or the other trailhead, and then take the shuttle system to get to back...More

This is just stunning, and it is wonderful to bring any person of any age. You can walk such a small distance (1/4 mile and up total) and see amazing beauty. We live about an hour from this and go to it all the time...More

This was an absolutely beautiful and a very easy level hike. Great views and was not very far from the parking lot. Options to add on additional hikes as well. Bathrooms are nasty and there was a wait to park in the lot when we...More

The trailhead offers routes from the very difficult to the very easy. All of the trails are very scenic and you can't really pick a bad one. If you want an easy one, Bear lake itself is great, if a little crowded. The three lakes...More

Get very early to secure the parking spot and avoid bad weather. We left at 1 pm and we experienced snow storm driving down in the middle of August. Elevation makes the weather colder. Trailhead is easy. Our disabled son had no issues. Perfect for...More

We tried around noon on a Saturday to get to bear lake. After we got in the gate and headed that way, we waited in a long line of cars only to find out the rangers closed it due to no more parking. So we...More

Such a disappointment this time around. The crowds are out of control in the Estes Park area of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Not enough parking at trailheads. Not enough Shuttles for people to use to avoid adding to the traffic jams. No separate lanes...More
