First, this is a great stop for information, brochures, water and restrooms. But besides that, we found the film to be very helpful. It explained how Kings Canyon is split into two areas - Grants Grove and Cedar Grove. We realized we would be missing...More

This center is loaded with information about the park. It has a big parking lot across the street. Has a few videos also.

I stopped here on the way down into Kings Canyon. The park visitor center had several interesting displays as well as maps and books. Across from the visitor center you can find restaurants and small shops.

The rangers are patient and wonderful here. They take the time to help you find appropriate hikes and where you can find some beautiful sights. The shop is small, but the hospitality large.

It is simple but gives a good background on the Park. The rangers there were very helpful in recommending things to do/places to see. Glad that was our first stop on our way into the way into the park.
