This park was rather deserted. It's mainly for people hiking the trails, but there are a few family friendly walks with good views of the roaring river and plenty of waterfalls to see. The grizzly waterfall is amazing. It's rather cold, but I enjoyed seeing...More

Nice views and the water falls make the trip worth the drive in and out. Also, it was not very busy while Sequoia was on the same day, making it very easy to get great pictures.

This drive is a must when visiting this park. Driving through the canyon is breathtaking. The stream was full and the canyon was filled with color.

There are a lot of switchbacks and curves on the road, but it's a spectacular drive. There are a number of places to stop to enjoy the ever-changing views, and I'd suggest stopping as often as you can,

I believe it is hwy 180 too. I'm not sure exact mileage, it took us about 2 1/2 hours in good weather to travel through the highway, but note we did make some stops along the way. If you are going to make the effort to... More
