Really not much here to look at other than the historical cooking area of the native people and the pictographs on the side of a rock. Seems like they could add more information about the people and the area to this stop along the road...More

We entered the park at this end so this was one of our first stops. Very interesting reading about the history. Right by the road. Not a long stop and not crowded.

We purposefully drove the 198 route out of Seq. Nat'l Park in order to see these pictographs. The turn out can be easy to miss, as there is nothing advertised other than "hospital rock" and "buck eye flat campground". Look for those signs and park...More

The ancient petroglyphs are very close to the road and are a vibrant color! Amazing to see in person! My kids also enjoyed seeing the giant rock with holes which was used as a "community kitchen."

There are so many incredible views in Sequoia National Park that I will probably not stop again. It was a quick walk from the parking lot. The pictographs were good, and I also enjoyed seeing the holes in the rock that were used for grinding....More

Hospital Rock is right on the road and easy to walk to. Don't miss the red pictographs on the right hand side. There is also a nice little trail to the river on the right hand side.
