We loved driving around this area today. So much wildlife: beavers, birds, and deer. I loved the giant fish statue with the saddle... great Kodak moment!! Roads were in excellent shape!!! Enjoyed my day on the peninsula!!!

This park is secluded... bring what you need. Everywhere you look there is water... beautiful islands... and wildlife. We camped next to the lake and spent the weekend relaxing in nature. I suggest renting a boat. There are also beautiful trails.

Stayed at Voyageur Park Lodge. Staff friendly and accommodating. Rustic cabins offer excellent views of the lake and are secluded from one another.

This is not a park to visit without a boat. We did one of the hikes that is accessible if you don't have one, and while gorgeous, it is nothing compared to being on the water. We camped on the peninsula near the Rock Garden....More

We rented a house boat from Ebel's. It was fantastic, but very pricey. Once in a lifetime ordeal. There were many things that we should have done to save $$$ but hindsight is always 20/20. Voyageur National park is very beautiful but I expected it...More

Only accessible by boat or snow mobile, the Kabetogama Peninsula is central to Voyageurs National Park. It has dock systems to tie up your boat safely while you explore and hike and pause for wildlife! I suggest lodging at a Lake Kabetogama Resort or camping...More

As far as I know, there is no way to move on this peninsula. No trails, roads, no walking amoung the rain forst. Rent a boat (be careful lots of rocks) and hope you make it. Canoes would be risky as the winds can be...More
