I'd heard about Angel's Landing from so many people and knew I had to take it on myself and see what all the hype was about. The hike is definitely strenuous, but worth every step you take. The views from the start to finish are unbelievable. There's so much I could write, but instead I'll share some photos.

This was an amazing hike. Even though there was a light rain, we made it all the way to the end. And, I think it kept down the number of people on the trail. A must do -- but you have to be fit for sure -- there is a lot of straight up and downn!

Not for the faint of heart. You will probably have to stop to get your breath every once in awhile. Go first thing in the morning at 7 a.m. Or get ready to be on the trail with a lot of people.

This hike is almost a climb. Prepare to walk up a steep trail full of switchbacks including the world famous "Walter's Wiggles." The scenery gets better and better as you ascend. There is a natural stopping/resting point just before the steep and precipitous final pitch where you can enjoy your lunch and make the decision whether to brave the more... More

This is one of the "signature" hikes at Zion. We hiked in the morning in early May. The first part of the hike is in sun, but most of the hike was in shaded Canyon through Walter's Wiggles (multiple switchbacks, concrete trail). Walk was quite comfortable. We stopped at Scout's Lookout & skipped the chain portion - quite crowded. Instead... More

We went up about 3/4 of the way and it became way to high for the spouse, so we click a few pictures and went back down,. There was a guy coming down and I asked him how much farther and he said we had already done 3/4 of the hike. He said it was getting really crowed and it... More

This is a very busy hike, and best visited early in the morning to avoid crowds, but quite the most thrilling hike we've experienced. It's only a couple of miles, but the final half mile (which has a system of chains to hang on to) takes as long as the previous mile and a half, and is quite exhilarating.

Recently did this hike and was amazed at all the people there doing it!! In fact I will be surprised if there are not number restrictions coming soon. I had just done this a few years ago with my daughter and we zipped up and down in no time. Yes - we went in the middle of the day, but... More

Before visiting Zion, I watched a ton of videos on Angel's Landing. Once I was there, I was actually surprised how not terrifying the hike was. It might have been because I went as soon as the park opened so there weren't traffic jams on the chains. On the way back to the shuttle we passed swarms of people. I... More

It's really not that scary, especially going down. The worst part is the crowds. With people going both ways and heaps of people make it feel sketch and takes away from the experience. Go at first light, avoid the crowds. BEST sunrises if you haul up the switchbacks in time.
