This was the first "hike"... more like "walk" I did while visiting Zion. My husband was fly fishing, so I didn't want to push it being pregnant and hiking without him. This hike is flat and paved. It goes along the Virgin river and offers lots of shade. It was an enjoyable stroll that would be perfect for a family... More

We have an 8 year old, 6 year old, and 4 year old and they loved this hike/walk. The path is paved. Very gradual incline only in a few spots. Mostly treed to stay out of the sun. The river is on the left side and beautiful. There are lots of spots to go wade in the water so bring... More

In mid May, the walk is quite busy and that is with the continuation walk up the Narrows being closed because of high water volume in the river. I'd imagine it gets very busy in summer. That said, it is a nice walk sandwiched between the river and the cliffs. Lots of plants hanging off the cliffs and plenty of... More

We were here at the end of April and the Narrows were closed. But this walk is still so definitely worth it. It is paved and there are dirt paths in certain areas where you can walk closer to the water. We went early in the morning so as to avoid the crowds. We saw deer and all sorts of... More

This is a charming walk that follows the virgin river. The walk is paved and is easy enough for kids and push chairs. It is fairly level for most of the way. It is scenic but might not blow your socks off. Pay attention to the weeping rocks, the water that springs out of the non permeable rock creating the... More

It's simply beautiful. If you only have a short time in Zion do not miss this. Its flat and paved so everyone of all levels can enjoy. You get good views of some of the peaks of Zion by the River.

Read reviews so went here first thing. Took first bus up from visitor center at 7AM. One other group on the trail on way up. Too early for sunshine but was very peaceful with the rushing water end of April and the birds singing. Would like to do again when later in the day, warmer and hike into the narrows

We hiked this with my dad, who uses a cane and it was perfect for him. He was able to experience a hike in Zion, without hurting or wearing himself out. We saw a ton of squirrels which were so cute and added to the enjoyment of the hike. There were also a lot of shady areas to rest in.... More

mostly paved and easy to walk. lots of areas for my two boys (ages 7 and 9) to climb and explore. Could walk down closer to the river and explore there as well before continuing on the trail. Made it to the start of the Narrows before turning back to catch the bus. A nice area to try to skip... More

This was a nice little walk along the path of the flowing river. The water was hella cold but great to stroll with the family or even a special friend. Unfortunately the narrows at the top were closed so we only got to enjoy a partial hike... But it was still awesome!!
