Kolob was a new area for us, and still being part of Zion where not many visitors are at. We chose Taylors Creek Trail and its 5 mile round trip. It was listed as easy on one review and moderate on another.. It was closer...More

If you are into serious hiking, don't miss Kolob Canyon. Most of hikes are equal to what the main Zion area has to offer without the crowds. If you simply want to look at spires and towers an have a visual break from I-15, turn...More

Smaller visitor center and parking, but not visited as heavily as the main east entrance to Zion NP. Hikes are just as impressive.

On our way from Springdale to Vegas, we’ve made a detour to Kolob Canyon. A scenic road and a short hike on Timber Creek Trail made a wonderful hour of impressive vistas.

Short scenic drive. Several trails. We took timber creek overlook trail. Starts easy but gets a bit rocky near end. Views along trail are beautiful. Would recommend even if you stop and turn around at the rocky section.

It's an 8 or so mile hike from the trailhead, which is a few miles from the park entrance. It's pretty much a full day to see Kolob Arch.

There's a visitors center at the entrance to Kolob Canyon where you're supposed to pay a fee if you don't have an annual pass.
