If you want to tackle a more challenging hike at Zion and don't fancy the chains and narrow ledges of Angel's Landing then give this one a try. At no point during the hike did I feel like I was going to fall off, the...More

My family of 6 (2 adults and kids aged 5-12) did this hike while knowing we'd be unlikely to make it all the way to Observation Point. We figured we'd go as high as we could and then turn around when we needed to. We...More

Our first visit to Zion National Park was two decades ago and we could not understand why there were so few visitors to such a beautiful place. Wow, have things ever changed. Most of the trails we did whether short or long ,lots of elevation...More

We spent 3 nights in Zion park and did 3 différent hikes. They were really beautiful and impressive. The nature is very nice we saw a lot of animals and the view from cliffs were so great. We would come back🙂

While the official categorization is that the hiking is tough/difficult/strenuous, my opinion is that given enough time, almost every person in a moderate shape can do this hike. Most of the trail is paved and wide enough. There are not areas that are particularly exposed...More

I took my family of 5 (kids ages 11, 13 and 16) to Zion for 2 nights and three days of hiking. Most hikes in this park we found pretty easy, and they are classified as such. We have hiked many National Parks together, so...More

This hike is a tough one. You have to be in decent shape to make it all the way from the floor of the cayon to the rim. But if you do, the views are incredible and well worth the effort!. You can see straight...More

We chose Observation Point as our only Zion hike after checking it out on 10hikes.com. We are 50 something experienced hikers so we were not detered by the stenuous rating or the 2148 ft/655m elevation gain noted on the Zion Park info sheet. The trail...More

We read the info on trip advisor and decided the Observation point was where we wanted to go, but we went about it 2 ways. Our teenagers did the traditional route- took the bus to Weeping Rock and did the full hike. We read this...More

I think what you see is very similar. From observation point you are higher and looking right at Angels landing. So, from Angels Landing you have an unobstructed view to the south and you are on a pinnacle so that's a big... More
