There's a one-way walking system through the zoo. We liked it this way, as there was no rush and no 'which-way-is-the-fastest'. There's also a walk high up in the trees via rope-bridges which was quite the experience for our children.

We loved the rainforest setting for viewing the tropical animals and birds, walking among and above tropical flowers and foliage. The highlight is a black panther, but from bugs and bats to birds and big cats, this was a treat. We were there several hours - including a 20 minute downpour where we waited by the ocelot under a roof... More

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to the zoo. It was well planned out and clean. There is a path that winds through the entire zoo so you don't miss a thing. Fun bridges suspended in the air but if you would prefer not to you could skip these. Nice and shady on a hot day. Would recommend wearing... More

An interesting park with quite a few animals, set in a rainforest, so there are lots of trees and plants to look at, and a number of elevated walkways quite high in the canopy (which are not obligatory for those who don't like heights). There is also a more modest walkway for youngsters. The animals include racoons, various monkeys, puma,... More

This is a must see attraction for families. The setting is fabulous, located in the heart of a rainforest, probably unlike any other zoo you've been to...be sure to try the suspended walkways in the forest canopy, which is for children 8+ and requires a bit of waiting, but well worth it for this unique experience!

Location is the key. To us the zoo was beautiful and exciting. Some of the big cats looked like they are in too small cages but other wise all animals were easy to spot and some even came to see you.

Worth a stop if you are in the vicinity and you have young children in tow - they will love walking across the canopy bridges. Not a huge selection of animals and as others have pointed out the enclosures might be on the small side for the jaguars, but we're not talking chicken coops. If you are in the area... More

The Zoo provides a beautiful walk of about 1 1/2 hours through the tropical forest and has a few exhibits that are different and interesting. Some of the explanations were in English, but most of them didn't require language to figure out where the animals were from, etc. The Zoo has a canopy rope walk which takes about 1/2 hour... More

One of the reasons I like traveling in the tropics is lush vegetation, and here you are surrounded by plenty of it, with beautiful walkways winding amongst the habitats for various birds, insects, snakes and mammals. As an American it was interesting to see some creatures I had never seen - some types of monkeys, jaguar, and alligator turtle (unrelated... More

I don't normally like zoos but want during a cruise excursion. The layout was great especially as the animals appeared to have room in their enclosures. The high level walkway was difficult but manageable by reasonable active pensioners.
