The Street, though lovely with stores and restaurants all along, is always crowded and hard to walk. The streets are not stroller friendly invade you have an infant, neither are they very good for elderly or handicapped people. I have been there several times, and...More

An amazing place to take a stroll at and absorb the culture/life believed to be the inspiration of the animation movie 'Spirited Away'. I took the TRA train from Taipei Station to Ruifang. It cost about $180 local currency. There are directions to a bus...More

Very exciting old town street and it's filled with numerous food stalls selling Taiwanese food. Head on up to the top to find ah ma sweet potato balls. Those are really yummy.

With its air of historical heritage, Shuijinjiu
(ShueiNanDong, Jingguashi, Jiufen) used to be
prosperous and glamorous due to mining. Although its
magnificent semblance no longer exists, the peaceful
and beautiful atmosphere has persisted. With a wave to
the age of the gold rush, one can still see a glimpse
of its glorious past through the Golden Waterfall.
