This snorkeling/turtle island tour is a blatant rip off. Nearly $us120 for some crap snorkeling trip that after three slices of bread to feed the fish, they had run out. Followed by a trip that probably could have been done on foot, (it isn't really an island).total rubbish.

We went on a boat trip and arrived here. The staff told me they trap wild animals and keep them captive, often for years. Turtles, sea eagles and other creatures are fed, but that is all. Their shelter is inadequate often with no shelter from the sun. The animals looked uncomfortable and had no stimulation that their species required. People... More

They keep and protect the turtles for breeding to repopulate the species .its educational and needs support to keep it going.

The animals that are on this island do lead a very sad life. There is a snake with its mouth constantly taped shut. Animals in very small cages with nothing to keep them happy ie no branches. The turtles are kept in very dirty water. a lot of them are sick. This place exists solely for the tourists at the... More

We went across to turtle island on a spontaneous tour, you only need about an hour or so there, was fun to get up close and personal with turtles and other animals. Wouldn't say it is a must but if you have spare time definatley worth a visit

We were enticed by the 'turtle island snorkelling' promotion after spending a few days in Lembongan with amazing snorkelling. Upon arriving, it was obvious we were in the Chinese tourist trap. No personality, no smiles, just pumping everyone through. The guy driving our boat didn't even say one word to us. We arrived at the turtle conversation centre first which... More

This place was advertised as a conservation. Upon arriving, the pools were very small and dirty. Clearly the turtles would have been much better off in the wild. There were few other types of animals as well. One of the saddening sights was a snake with its mouth taped up so it could be used for photo ops. Our guide... More

This is a sad place where animals are treated very poorly and are showcased for all the gullable tourists who pay a hefty amount of money to visit. This combined with scuba diving in the dirtiest of waters was such a major disappointment. I was shocked at how the animals were being mishandled by chinese tourists.
