We stopped on route, lovely on a summers day to be by the river and see the boats but the wind pump is trying to raise money to be repaired hence not making it your sole purpose for a trip out. The top is currently removed although on site glad we never stopped and paid for parking

Called in on the way back from Horsey beach, there is still much work to be done, but the tea and cakes in the coffee are nice and help contribute to the restoration of the wind pump

The windmill is currently being completely renovated but stil splendid and worth a visit. There is a small coffee shop on site. When you see these projects happening, I am pleased to be a National Trust member. Large N.T. Car park very close and some modern toilets. Can easily walk from here to Horsey beach to see the seals. Then... More

The National Trust are in the process of major renovation of this historic site. It's so interesting to see how the renovation is being planned and I'm really looking forward to visiting when it's back to working order. The area is beautiful with lovely walks. The little tearoom is a bonus.

The reason we went to Horsey Windpump was because I like photography and my husband is a wheel chair user so I thought it may be an opportunity to get some atypical photos of Norfolk without having to trek very far. The photos we found online during our research were all of the pump with sales and everything looking ground.... More

This is closed so there isn't much to do there. I thought there might to a walk round the Broads but there isn't really. Worth a look if you're passing. Otherwise, leave it!
