Probably the most important Mannerist garden in Italy. Unfortunately the maintenance contractors lack the competence to keep the fountains and water jokes functioning properly. Nevertheless worth a visit.

Beautiful fountains in the garden are well engineered and artistic. Walking around the garden and looking at the fountains made us so peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the Villa Lante.

There were several tour buses but the property is so large, that it are not bothered by the crowd. Great place to wonder for a few hours.

At Euro 5 for entry this is a garden worth visiting. The parterre is well kept and trim, most of the fountains are working and the water cascade is quite impressive. There is some nice parkland as part of the gardens too. As an example...More

Villa Lante is a classic formal water garden set on a hillside. It is stunning! The geography and fountains combine to provide a glorious landscape in which to wander. With any luck you'll be sprayed by the hidden jets in the grotto!

It's the perfect example of an Italian garden and it's fabulous. The sculptures, the buildings, the water, the parterre... Perfect to spend a nice afternoon, quite cheap too. Must visit!

Opened in 1656, these gardens predate the great gardens of Italy and France, and have influenced them. Beautiful and mathematically precise, the gardens tell a story. This is worth a 2 hour drive.

Majestic gardens with cascades, fountains and grottoes, on par with Villa Farnese and Villa d'Este. The garden is not too big, managed to see it all in half an hour. Favourite Fountain: the stone lamps, producing small water jets imitating fire flames.

We visited this garden in a monumental heatwave in Italy but still found lovely areas of shade and cooling water features. The garden is a real treat even though there were some renovations taking place so some areas were restricted... Although listed as a villa........More

Sometimes you can find a spot outside the church. However before you get to the center on the right is a car park. I believe you will need to pay for a spot. I was lucky and found a free street spot, but a bit of a walk.

from porta romana no but from the main bus station in viterbo "sacrario" you can catch a number 6 bus to Bagnaia which takes you right to Bagnaias main square and it's 10 second walk away to villa Lante hope this helps 👍
