Good Local Bit of History

A lovely old windmill and a small museum about the Sugar Mill Industry here so not that much to see but it was very nice although it needs some tidying up a bit.

Appeared deserted and vandalised. Information boards missing, cigarette ends and litter present. Could be a lot more interesting. Needs a bit of a tidy up.

Not loads to see but a great piece of history to see. If you like to see sites to enable you to imagine/picture what it was like in the past then well worth a visit.

This was an interesting visit and took you back in time, they have a small museum of artifacts and was really interesting to imagine what this would of looked like as a sugar plantation, sad to think that it had slaves there who must of had such a hard life but well worth going to see

Our guest services gave Betty's Hope two thumbs up - not for us....maybe one...only because of interesting in history. We wanted to learn about the sugar plantation days so we went with a sense of purpose. There is a $2 admission. You only need about 20-30 minutes to check out the place. Positives: 1. The knowledgeable man at the 'museum'... More

If its part of a longer tour then this is worth going to as it gives you a feel of a major part of the islands history. The restoration work is privately funded so is painfully slow, so don't expect too much.
