It's a Nice Memorial

It's a nice memorial but not something that you would spend more than a few minutes at taking photos most likely on your way out to or from Baby Beach.

It's a good place so you can view kite surfing, but it does need a bit more of info on what the anker means and it's history. My recommendation stop for a short picture and continue along to baby beach.

We stopped by on our way home as they were selling samples of the local aruban beer. Ladies in cow costumes very nice.

This was easily accessed off the road to Baby Beach. Again, not Something I'd set out to but definitely worth stopping a few minutes to catch it.

We stopped here on the way back from Baby Beach for a photo and to watch the kite surfers for a minute. No facilities on the beach there, so we didn't stay.

Stopped on the way along baby beach. Wonderful place to take pics. The backdrop is very pretty and a must do in Aruba!

We passed this memorial and said a prayer for all of the seamen who have passed on. It is nice that there is such a reminder.

Good views of the ocean. Not much else there. As othes have said, it's on the way to the beaches in the area. Might as well stop for a pic.

As with all memorials, there is a reason why they are there and you have to think of it that way and the many lives that are lost at sea. While you are there you can see how rough the seas are in that area and how strong the winds are. Right in that area you can see the windsurfers... More

If you go to Baby beach and have a camera you most likely have a picture of the anchor. Not worth the drive if that's all you want to see but there's so much more. Venture to the left and drive as you feel comfortable and enjoy the rugged coastline. Go right to Baby beach and the light house. See... More
