I would describe this as more of a single track than a trail. The trail goes two directions out of Hamilton. Toward the airport, you need to ride about two miles on the road to reach the trailhead. It is uphill all the way to...More

We arrived on the NCL Breakaway and booked the Fantasea Railway Trail Bike & Beach Tour. We absolutely loved it! Along with the ride on the trail, the hike up Fort Scaur and time on the beach, Ali and Adrian gave us great history lesson...More

The history of the rail trail is interesting and walking the trail brings it to life. The friends of BRT are doing great things in building bridges and generally upgrading the trail. We walked from Mangrove Bay to the Causeway and watched the Americas Cup...More

My husband and I enjoye walking this trail. The views are very interesting but it is a bit challenging to find. The bus drivers were very helpful in getting us started. It does not run the length of the island as there are breaks in...More

I felt that the railway trail was tired and unloved - it could be a great tourist attraction but needs a facelift to make it more attractive. It is a wonderful idea but really needs to be cleaned up. There are uneven surfaces, large stones...More

The rails-to-trails path is a must-do in Bermuda. The history of the railway in Bermuda was quite short (during the 20th Century) and luckily for the rest of us, the government bought the railroad and converted it to a railway that spans Bermuda. The scenery...More

The Railway Trail sounded like it would be a great way to see the island, unfortunately it wasn't very scenic in most places. For portions of it I felt like I was walking down an alley. Other times the trail abruptly ends and you're at...More

A great use for a redundant railway, providing a foot/cycle/horseback route across most of the island. Well signed and easily accessible over much of its length. Marred slightly in some unsightly fly-tipping, but generally well maintained.

In 2015, volunteers fixed up the most scenic 3-mile stretch of Bermuda's main walking trail (called the "Railway Trail" because it used to have a railroad tracks on it) from Coney Island (near the Swizzle Inn) to Shelly Bay. Since the upgrade, I would rate...More

You'll need to research this trail before you arrive--not many specifics were available for the self-guided tourist and there were precious few signs along the way, but we figured out the stretch we wanted to explore from studying maps and seeing where the trail neared...More

I booked the excursion myself online but The tour booth is right at the dock. There are two guides with you for the whole bike ride. You end at a cute little beach but are only there about 20 minutes.
