Fort St Catherine is well worth a visit. The building has been faithfully restored and as you wander down into the bowels of the Fort you get a real sense of preparedness of the locals in days gone by to defend their territory. Well worth...More

Highlight of our trip. Aside from Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, the fort has the most amazing views. Short walk from the town of St George, passing the Unfinished Church, Tobacco Bay (touristy beach with music, beach chairs, etc) and Achilles Bay (more quiet beach adjacent to...More

There was a lot more to see at Fort St. Catherine than my wife and I originally anticipated. We spent about an hour and half to two hours there. Cost was only $7 per person. It was interesting to see the history of the fort....More

We pitched up prepared to pay but as it turned out, after some very entertaining teasing from the excellent Patrick, it was free that day for some unknown reason. Fort St Catherine is much bigger on the inside than as it appears fro the outside...More

Fort St. Catherine is well worth the short walk from Tabacco Bay. There's a beautiful beach along the way that's great for wading and swimming. The Fort is on top of a small hill and has a fantastic view of the ocean.

In the summer months there is a free mini van taking people to St. Catherine's from King Square - across from the Visitor Information Centre. Just ask at the center. It's a long walk. In the heat of summer I would not... More
