We spent the day at the dockyards and then took a ferry to Hamilton. After walking around for some time, we stopped at The Pickled Onion for an afternoon refreshment. The bartender was incredibly nice, good humored and made a tasty cocktail. The atmosphere in the bar was relaxed and casual. We ran into a few "scavenger hunters" and the... More

We celebrated a birthday at the Pickled Onion. The hostess Mags came by and made excellent recommendations and even offered additional pairings for wine. The wait staff was truly phenomenal! Extremely attentive to us and even anticipated or needs before we asked. The sushi was excellent. The medium rare pork chops were tender and flavorful. The fish was fresh and... More

Though I had only a few minutes for one beer before boarding a ferry to Southampton, the waitress quickly accommodated my desire for a local specialty and a harbor view seat. Cheers!

We had dinner here on the last night of our visit to Bermuda. They opened at 5:30 and we arrived shortly after that time. It was already crowded with a young working crowd and couples on dates. They had plastic chairs and tables on the deck overlooking Front St. and the water. We sat inside at nicer tables that also... More

This is a great location if you want to people watch on Front Street. They have seating inside and out. The staff was friendly, albeit only moderately attentive. The food was good; although pricey for what it was. My vote is a couple of pints and split the fish and chips.

We wanted a light lunch, as we were going to a steak house for dinner. We all had excellent salads. I had fresh-tasting salmon on mine. Those who had chicken salad also did well. We sat outside on the balcony with a great view of Hamilton Harbour.

We visited The Pickled Onion twice while we were in Bermuda. Liked it so much the first time that we came back a second time. It's a short walk up a single flight of stairs, and overlooks Front Street. Nice, expansive bar area, comfortable interior seating area, and a smaller outdoor covered patio. The drinks and food are both good,... More

I was very impressed with the beautiful layout of this restaurant. Outside look of this restaurant does not justify for the modern atmosphere. The food was so delicious, the waitress was so attentive. This was the best restaurant I visited during my stay in Bermuda.
