It's always fun to tour old forts especially in Bermuda and Whale Bay is no exception. Plus, the views are terrific. Especially at sunset.

Just before teeing on the 15th hole you come across the Whale Bay Battery. Quite interesting and unexpected in the middle of the Port Royal Golf Course

nobody in front nobody behind us for a few holes, we stopped in and had a good look, note to golf course owners..that would be a good place for a bathroom on the back nine, no other one around that we could find :)

but they never did. Bermuda really must've had a persecution complex to so heavily reinforced this island! One can walk through the battery, though the cannons are missing. There are nice views to the South Shore, as it's on a 'rise'. It's a prettier location...More
