The team hace really worked hard to create a meaningful experience. As a mixed race couple, we have found it a very useful tool in teaching our daughters about how the Caribbean developed. It does not beat a drum or present from a particular stance. It presents the development of the nation in a way that gives you a background... More

This is gem of a museum. Situated in a beautiful complex of buildings, the rooms of some of which have been covered into recreations of historic residential homes, this is an attraction well worth seeing. The vision starts with exhibits of the varied marine and animal life to found in Barbados and as one who loves the sea this was... More

We were on the hunt for several Geo-caches in the area, when we followed the cluse to the museum. We solved the cache, and my son asked about taking a tour. This museum matches the pace of Barbados life, you can stroll round and take in the vast amound of information displayed or just wander past the exhibits and browse. A good half day spent in pleasant surroundings with no hassle but as the signs warn 'beware of the monkeys'.

The musem is out past the Governors house towards the airport. The buildings are interesting showing many different periods through slavery. They even... More
