Smaller, local feeling beach in St. James. Not too crowded, and not too busy with motorsports in the water, made it a comfortable place to hang out and snorkel from shore.

One of the best beaches in St James in my opinion. Quiet, safe - I'm not confident in the sea and even I felt safe wading in. Saw locals with young children using this beach. Not as stoney to get into the sea if you...More

Love this beach. It's smaller and there are some rocks which can hinder you getting in and out of the water but it is a lovely place. We were told the snorkelling was good here but did not use our gear to check it out.

I loved this beach - few people, beautiful view. We saw quite many fishes snorkling. Easy to get to - take the Speightstown bus (blue or yellow).

Batt's rock is a great place on the west coast for surfing. It has lefts and rights and works well over 3-4 feet. Deep water and an easy paddle out. Good facilities and parking make it an easy destination on the west side.

I was there in March and regularly visited this beach and there is no actual building work taking place and hasn't been for some time. I was told by one of the locals that the developers have gone bust and the building work... More

There is no hotel accommodation near Batts Rock. This area is on the Spring Garden Highway and the nearest hotel accommodation would be up the west coast. There are apartments that can be rented I can think if the... More
