Have the best time at Sorobon beach with "Bonaire Windsurf Place" learning to waterstart and use the footstraps.... So lucky to have "Patun" as my instructor.... Had me in the footstraps and harness after 30 minutes, and always giving out helpful tips everytime I go windsurfing. Able to explore different board sizes and sails. He took me further to sail... Two of our party took a beginner lesson. The lessons are 2 hours long, with the first hour being instructor-led, and the second hour being for individual practice. The instructor spent only 10 minutes going over how to stand on the board, and didn't cover topics such as how to change direction, before heading out to the practice area. Once... More

We sailed here 10 years ago, loved it then, love it now. I'm short, and I can stand almost anywhere in the bay. Water is warm and beautiful. Wind was 15 to 25 mph the two weeks we were there. Amazingly, Kenneth remembered me from a decade ago. He was always helpful in exploring which board and sail were best... More

Had a great time spending a few hours learning the art of windsurfing. The employees here are top notch and we had a great experience. Was definitely a memory we will keep with us. Small complaint is the number of swimmers in the windsurf area. For us 'less experienced people', the swimmers caused us to jump off the boards often... More

After watching the cool surf dudes from my hotel sun lounger I decided to give it a go! So in I went as a 37 year old non cool non dude! The guys made me feel really welcome and I took a board for a day. They advised me and let me change my sail several times and I never... More

It is very easy to hop on a board and sail. My husband was a beginner, but within a week, he was sailing with a harness and beach starting- thanks to the lessons from Kenneth and Ro. Elvis and Putun were fair and professional with the logistics/business side, and Kenneth, Ro, Flo, Mark, and Danielo made sure we always had... More

I'll admit, we didn't get to stay long. We were the second cruise ship in port (and the only one scheduled) but at 10 am, there was no beach chairs or umbrellas left. The beach looked beautiful and the bar looked like fun but we simply could not sit down. Most the area with chairs was uncovered (which is fine... More

A great place to learn. Nice wind and lovely sheltered bay for hours of windsurfing. The waters were not completely flat as expected, but was slightly wavy which locals attributed to El Nino. While it's mostly sandy at the bottom, there are the occasional rocks and I was glad that I brought my booties. Phenomenal staff - they are friendly... More

The bay was nominated one of the most beautiful places of the island, and it really is so . Windsurfers speeding through the bay add to the picture. There is a windsurf equipment rental shop and store with knowledgeable instructors available for group and private lessons. The staff is very friendly and helpful, so one feels very comfortable right away.... More
