The park is, in principle, a great thing. It is well-known for its coral and numerous locations with shore access. Unfortunately, our experience was that the sites on the west side of Bonaire proper outside of Kralendijk were rocky near shore, sometimes with multiple ledges,...More

The marine park seems to encompass most of the dive sites around the island, and protecting those sites is essential for the island economy. The diving is beautiful. There are very few predator fish in evidence so the smaller, colorful fish abound, as do the...More

You can just rent a truck and load your stuff and dive around the island as you please. If you do this without an instructor, your own diving watch is a must. Only in the north there were some areas I wouldn't dive without a...More

If you want to dive with guppies and little fish this is your place. Nothing big to see. Not great diving.

A must is a hearty truck! The park roads are not suitable for cars...or people with back problems. Reco taking the long route to see more sights. It's a lengthy drive if you stop and take pics. Plan on at least 4 hours in the...More

If you're a diver and you're on Bonaire then this is quite obvious. However, we didn't realize how awesome diving would be here. We're def coming back.

Coral structures are very healthy and vibrant. Most dive sites can be reached from shore and offer amazing encounters for divers and snorkelers alike.

It was really pretty to see the different terrain. I wish the roads were two way so you didn't have to go the whole route if you didn't want to.

There was no place in Bonaire that we didn't see fish and coral. The waters included in the marine park are absolutely breathtaking,

There's a sailboat that docks at Devi Bonaire. I don't remember the name of the operator; we didn't go. There are a couple outfits that take people out to Klein. And - there are a number of the marked dive sites that seem... More

Yes on the marine park fee. It's worth it; you're supporting good work. The rub with the cruise ship dock and Town Pier is that there isn't any shallow reef right nearby (makes sense; it's a harbor). You can get in the... More
