I normally don't leave bad reviews but this town is loud, dirty, smells like pee, cars that will run you over, holes that you will trip in, scam artists, and really just bizarre.

The old part of Havana is actually not that large and it was easy enough to walk around although I would not suggest wearing heals as there are lots of cobbles and uneven surfaces. Don't just look ahead, look up too. The architecture around you is gorgeous. I can't wait to come back again in a few years when some... More

Yes, you can see buildings close to fall, you have keep your steps because of bad conditions of streets but, ... the passionate live music you discover after every corner, meeting a young and friendly people having fun, just dancing, singing and drinking rum and at least, you will never feel unsafe even if you are in Latin America, thats... We visited the Old Town in Havana during a day, sunny and hot and with lots of tourists, but we had no problem findind the table in a coffee-shop or a restaurant in the area. The problem was that they did not have most dishes which they offered in the menu, but we did nt go there to eat but... More

We spent most of the afternoon in old Havana, and will go back. Great to see history will be preserved.

Old Havana is the place to visit while there and probably the reason you go to Cuba on vacations People is super friendly, bars, restaurants and stores that keep the old town flavor. Alive music and dancers on the street plus art exhibitions and museums. All in walking distance

Walked through here almost everyday I was in Havana. Lots and lots of things to see. I found many new things to do here each and every time I was there.

If you get a chance to go to Cuba, go! It is a beautiful country with beautiful people. The energy and graciousness of the locals will definitely have me returning to this island. We stayed right in the heart of the old city on Empedrado & Compostella. My only complaint, while the cars are truly astonishing, the exhaust from them... More

I heard about the old cars before I went, and I heard people tell me to go before "it changes",but wow. I had no idea that this culture is untainted by commercialism and the internet. What I didn't see was people walking around aimlessly staring down at their phone. What I did see was way more cars from the 50s... More

Everything you expect it to be it is. Some roads are very derelict and need to be careful after dark but so much to see, Architecture, cars and the people. Spend a day just wandering, taking in the life, drinks in a bar and the history of the place is amazing.
