This is a most photogenic fortress and one of the better attractions in Havana. It's a nice relaxing place to spend an hour after the hustle and bustle of Old Havana.

This place offers great views back towards Havana. Is easy to get there in a taxi under the sea through the tunnel. There are some local stalls there and some trailers selling cocktails over there. Just down the road are some great military stuff that...More

After having seen Old Havana it's nice to see this place. Take the bus for the east beach and get down at the first stop. The place is quite impressive, very nice view of Havana. Very close there is a nice restaurant with a terrace...More

Morro Castle guards the entrance to Havana Bay. It can be viewed from miles around as it dominates the port entrance. Great photo op from many locations.

yes, take some pictures I guess, but there's not much there to see. You need to get a boat there, its not worth the fuss

We went to the Fortress to watch the firing of the Canon which occurs nightly at 9:00 pm. We took a taxi from the Malecon to get there about an hour early and were able to get a place near the front. Best to were...More

This castle sitting across the inlet from Havana provides the most beautiful views of the city of Havana. If you are staying in Vedado, plan to leave your hotel or casa particular and catch a taxi there by around 6:45 pm as El Morro attracts...More

Awesome views from the city. World heritage site. If you don't have the money to go inside, you can just walk around the el Morris and nice pictures still.

This fort has been preserved well and is a fun visit while in Havana. Stay until the evening to see a ceremony and an old canon that gets shot at 9 pm sharp every night. This is a fun activity for family or friends to...More

We were excited to go to the lighthouse, but it was closed. There are some craft selling booths, and great views of Havana- Good photo opportunities. It was the most exciting thing we did that day, but it was a nice stop.

When I went , I went with a local who didn't pay anything. We took a ferry which is about 5$ . From what friends have paid prior was 5 CUC for entry.
We are taking the ferry across to Casablanca. We wish to walk around outside Cabana de Che Guevara but not go inside. What is the entry fee to merely walk the grounds? Similarly, we wish to have dinner at Hostal y Paladar Canonazo, then get a front row view for the ceremonial firing. What is the entry fee for this?

There is and entry fee, but I do not remember the exact amount. Some of the grounds around the parking lot can be visited without actually entering the actual fort. I encourage you to pay the fee though, this is really an... More
