We couldn't figure out what this was. We happened on it after leaving Sloppy Joe's. A beautiful area in the middle of a busy street. It seemed to go on forever. The buidlings along this were interesting to see and it is lined with beautiful trees!

This was a very beautiful place for a stroll after dinner. Lots of people gathered to sit, talk and relax. Carve out some time for this.

Loved our strolls up and down the marble paved Prado. Lined with shady trees and seats to sit and watch the market/art stall holders, salsa lessons and strollers. Always something going on and plenty to see. Great at any time of the day or night.

A nice shady place to stroll on a hot afternoon. This street looks almost exactly the same as Las Ramblas street in Barcelona, minus the tourist shops. We saw locals walking, kids playing soccer, others skating. Walking down this street from the city leads you straight to el Malecon.

Beautiful boulevard right down the centre of the city to the sea - lively with Cuban people - lovers strolling, kids on skateboards and skates, music. Art market on Saturday and Sunday with very talented artists showing and selling their wares. They are gradually restoring it. Would love to see all the urns overflowing with flowers and fresh new trees... More

Walking all around the Prado is incredible : you walk head up to see at all these beautiful old houses around you ... Observe the Cuban life : people in a hurry for buses, school boys and girls back from school (all -really all- children are in schools!), eat like Cuban with a "pizzeta" (small round pizza you buy and... It was a sunday afternoon when we discovered Prado. There were artists selling their artwork, but also giving children lessons and a chance to get 'hands on' the various cratts. We were short on time, but decided to quickly choose a bit of artwork to take as a souvenir (surprisingly inexpensive) just in case they weren't there the next day.... More
