Located in the Miramar district of La Habana, this large aquarium houses a variety of fish, mollusks and mammals. The grounds are nicely kept, however, the buildings are crumbling and in need of repair. There is a large amphitheater where outside aquatic shows are held. $10 CUC per person to visit. Families with children will find the area interesting.

This aquarium, built in 1961, is easily the saddest we have ever seen. The walls are literally crumbling; the relatively few tanks are dirty and are missing a number of the fish identified on the wall panels; and the pools housing the many sea turtles have little water in them, and no food that we could see. The turtles were... More

This was a sad display of aquatic animals. Now the animals and fish were interesting (3 stars) but the displays and physical areas (I'd give it 2 stars) were very tired and need renovations.

Well worth the very inexpensive cost of admission. My wife and I went with our 4 year old daughter and our 1 year old son. We enjoyed the fish, the marine mammal shows, the pool/splash pad, and the restaurant. One wall of the restaurant is the dolphin pool and the dolphins and fish swim past while you are eating. We... This is OK place to be, but it wont last that long. In 15 minutes you have seen it all and in another 15min you have seen the show. Lot's of turtles. And more turtles. And in any size. Huge to small. It was a disapointment, but you have to understand, that it's a poor country.

The place is not the best because you can notice it's poorly maintained but if your real wish is to enjoy a family visit and to show to your children many sea species you can't see nowhere else, it's good. There are several shows to see: sea lions, dolphins, aquatic dancers and clowns. There is a aquatic museum and you... More

Now undergoing restoration, this delightful outpost at the end of Miramar is a must for a visit for families with children or those interested in conservation. Cuba has an eviable record of conservation (see New York Times article on 3 july 2015)

On the basis of a short visit; I got a bad impression of the place. It appeared to be poorly maintained, the pools where the dolphins were swimming were small and dirty. Bathrooms for the guests were horrible...

This is a restaurant located within the acuario nacional, you don't actually pay entrance to the park. You need to check the time for the dolphin show before you go. A great location for a restaurant with one whole wall as a tank with dolphins in so you can watch them play and then they do a show. You pay... More
