We did this plaza as part of our old American car tours and I don't think it's worth a special trip. It's the place Castro held his mass rallies. It's like a huge parade ground with individual structures dotted around to mark the revolution. Obviously important to Cubans and their history but not aesthetically very impressive.

As plazas go, this was one of my favorites. Close to the water, big Cuban flag hanging from the Revolution Museum building and plenty of vintage taxi cars parked waiting for tourists, make for great photo opportunities here. There is an adjacent park with plenty of benches, and wide walkway. Hopefully you'll find a shady place to just sit and... More

Everyone was at revolution square, why I do not know Yes it depicts history but nothing happened there it is just concrete parking lot The only reason to go there are two wall art pieces and watch all the tourists If it was up to me I would skip it

What I am trying to say is: you can't miss it. Coming from the airport to Center or Old Havana, you will pass the Plaza. I am not sure why you would make a special trip there. If you do the hop on hop off bus (10cup for 9am to 6pm) they will go there (so you can get more... More

En route to/from airport to city so I would suggest stopping then to take your photos. Not enough to do to pay for a separate trip.

This is a great museum, definitely worth a visit. There are MANY interesting photos (of Fidel, Che and others) and lots of information about the history leading up to the revolution as well as the revolution itself. There is also kind of a separate space after you leave the museum proper but are still on the property (we met one... More

Really just a giant open square with lots of history. The best part were all the old cars lined up there.

This was our second trip to Havana and we did not visit the Plaza de la Revolcion on our first trip and so we made a point of visiting it this time. There is so much history in the Plaza and many times when you see news coverage from Havana it is from the Plaza. The huge image of Che... More

This expansive "parking lot" was Fidel's choice venue for interminable speeches to his subjects. While this is an historic location for sure, the visit was made tolerable by the lines of American Classic cars parked in the area. While empty, the sea of pavement is overlooked by a massive tower and Castro's pulpit on high.
