This is probably the nicest beach i have ever experienced. the sand is like sugar, lovely sand dollars and shells to collect and the wave jumping/riding is tremendous.

Lovey beach on the peninsula. Was a bit windy when we were there so was a little uncomfortable getting sand blasted on you all day. But beautiful beaches and warm sea!

Varadero has lot of long long beaches and most part is beautiful. The sand is white and the water is blue. Public beaches are good to meet locals. Beaches belonging to resorts are also Ok to use... Safety is guaranteed by tourist friendly police.

I was ver impressed with the quality of the beach. The personnel of the Starfish Varadero had made artificial palm trees which were great when you want to cool off from the sun. A dream landscape!!!

This is the icon of the beaches of Cuba, it has the biggest tourism in beaches of Cuba, in my opinion it surpasses Guardalavaca beach.

I don't know about swimming with Sharks in varadero but the scuba tribe in Playa del Carmen can take you diving with sharks. Hector is fantastic. Sorry I know that doesn't answer your question.
