You can walk to the cave from the Blau Hotel don't be cond into a taxi like some poor English teenagers where that arrived at the same time as us only to see it was 10 mins walk away. The caves are very interesting to see be aware there are bats flying about but only fruit and insect eating ones.... More

We were lucky enough to arrive just as a small group tour was starting, and the guide was able to point out the features - bats, petroglyphs etc. and give a little background. Walking distance from Iberostar Varadero - just walk out to the highway and turn left for a few hundred metres.

Second visit to this amazing Cave: ancient cave paintings and fabulous bats. Tricks: 1. go between noon and 1pm as the light shines beautifully into holes from above at that time and you get the best views and photos. 2. The guide gives you a flashlight but if you have your own stronger one take it along as well, as... More

This is a great little excursion in Varadero! It's about a 4 minute walk from the nearest hop on/hop off bus stop, and is 5 CUC for entry. We spent a bit over an hour in this small cave system. The guide took our payment and talked to us about the cave's natural features and man-made drawings (made by the... More

Stumbled across this place by accident as we were walking from our hotel to Carahicacos Ecological Reserve and thought we'd have a look. It was only 5 CUC entrance and the guide made the visit very interesting. He pointed out the drawings on the walls - giving explanations and also explained about the caves themselves and the many bats. He... More

this is really accessible with the town bus, and it is worth the time and money, you should go visit that cave, this is very interesting to see that people could live in these caves, with almost nothing... take a flashlight it will help.

The guide was knowledgeable, funny, friendly, and very kind! He gave me a 3CUP note of Che Guerrera when I professed my quest for authentic Cuban money! I was full of gratitude! The cave is easy to get to if you take the very affordable hop on/off tour bus. My only complaint is this cave has no pools or water... More

It was a great experience to see this natural beauty first hand. It is important to mention this may not be a best trip for people with reduced mobility as some areas may be slippery and hard to manage. Wear good shoes that you don't mind getting wet, flip flops are not a best choice.
