As before a place to visit for those who want to leave the hotel and meet, the guide always the most friendly and pleasant. The cave is not giant as one usually sees in other documentaries but the most important thing is the rocks, carvings etc that it possesses.
The place has good lighting in most parts making it a nice place to meet

A short, unpretentious visit.
The cave is accessible by the tourist bus, the stop is right in front (make sure to tell the driver).
The entrance ticket is 600 pesos per person. The gentleman accompanies the visit a little.
Bats and beautiful lights guaranteed.

We had a great 30-minute tour with Hose, our informative guide, who shared fascinating details about the cave’s history. The entrance fee was $5, and we were the only ones there. We even spotted bats! This is a must-see spot in Varadero. Highly recommended!

The guide is super nice and could explain very well and answer our questions. You have noticed that he really enjoys it and it is important to impart knowledge.
You are through in under an hour and can also explore the cave yourself.
The bats and paintings were very interesting and beautiful to see.
The admission of USD 5.00 is really not much and is worth the visit.
Highly recommended and high praise to the guide.

Exceptional site, worth seeing. Bring a torch, extremely quick tour of the place by the on-site guide. Walking alone is possible, you have to look for the wonderful cave paintings. No danger, but not equipped. Closed shoes recommended.

Took the tourist bus to the caves. There is a man in the small booth to take your entrance fee of $5 and when everyone is ready he leads you into the cave. The cave is small but very good. The guide is informative and tells you about the cave drawings and more importantly the bats. He shines his light up and you can see hundreds of bats hanging from the ceiling. There are some on their own, some in pairs and in the holes lots cuddled together. Every now and then they fly around the cave, again either on their own or in groups. After talking about the caves and bats the guide leaves you to explore on your own. These caves are definitely worth a visit.

For $5, the caretaker lends you a lamp and you can walk through a cave full of bats and some cave drawings. It lasts less than an hour.
Accessible from Varadero by the tourist bus (5€), there is a stop at the cave but nothing around.
It's expensive for what it is. The guard closed the cave at 3:30 p.m. instead of 5 p.m. (“I have a bus to catch”).

Had a amazing experience at this small attraction. Only took about an hour to explore the cave but you can take as long as you want. The gentleman at the entrance walked us in and gave us a quick tour and explanation of the history of the cave, then allowed us to tour at our own pace.
The cave art was interesting to see, the bats were absolutely phenomenal to watch.
You can get there using the HOHO. We’ll worth the $5 bus trip and $5 entrance fee.

We walked to the caves from the Royalton Hicacos in about 5 minutes. It doesn't open till 10am I think. We paid $5 each and the guide showed us the points of interest and then left us to explore ourselves. Lots of bats. Doesn't take too long but worth a visit. We saw a couple of birds on the lake on the way back - ibis and a stilt.

Renaldo welcomed us at the entrance to the cave and was our tour guide. He showed and explained the cave drawings in detail. We came away knowing a little more about the past on the peninsula.
There were lots of harmless bats and the floor was a little uneven and slippery so wear sturdy runners or sandals.
Cost was 5$ per person, tour took 30 minutes.

No hubo una tarifa fija. Diste lo que sentías que era justo después de la gira.
Fuimos tarde en la mañana. la guía está allí pero no se enumeran horas específicas.

What hotel did you stay in that you were able to walk to the caves?
Written 18 January 2019
We walked from the Melia Peninsula Veradero - it was about 3 kms. Easy walking along the sidewalk, but I wouldn’t want to do it in the afternoon heat. As others have mentioned, the off and on bus goes right by (there is a stop there).

Too far to walk. Your best bet is the hop on/hop off Beachtur bus. Your hotel can direct you to bus stop just outside hotel gates. The cost is 5 CUC per person and the ticket is good all day so you can combine with bus trip into Varadero town. It's about 5 mins on the bus from Grand memories.

How far from Starfish Varadero? What's the cost?
