The Curacao Maritime Museum takes its visitors on a discovery tour of more then 500 years maritime history of Curacao. The story-line is illustrated through a permanent exhibition consisting of displays with authentic nautical charts, ship models and navigation equipment combined with audiovisual techniques...an attraction not to be missed. As well as the exhibition, the museum also offers a number of interesting tours. Besides a tour of the museum, a demonstration of the mini refinery, which is set up in a separate exhibition hall of the museum, can also be attended. In addition, a tour through the harbour can be made.

We like maritime related events and history, so we generally like this museum. There are three stories in this museum, with a general history of the Curacao maritime arena on the first floor, a more specific history of the Alphena event and the Curacao Coast...More

This is an excellent museum - Kòrsou has a long history and this will help you understand some of it. I particularly liked the room with the photo albums of all the small cruise ships that used to come to Kòrsou - pre WWII.

Enjoy the history of Curacao through the maritime lens, a museum worth seeing in combination with the Curacao Museum and the Synagogue.

This museum is worth the time and expense to visit. It is easy to walk there in a few minutes from the Queen Emma Bridge. Many of the exhibits provide insight to Curacao's colonial and slave-trading history.

On Wednesday or Saturday For 10 U.S dollars you can take a harbor cruise and it is money well spent. About 40 mins in length they do a great job of explaining shipping and some history of Curacao. Even if you aren't interested in history...More

We were wandering around and stopped for a visit. We were there late in the day and had to rush before clouding time. They did warn us that they were closing soon. Cover both past and current Dutch Navy history in the Caribbean.

I'm not a big museum fanatic, but I do enjoy history. This museum has some very interesting pieces to show much of Curacao's history. I did the Harbourtour as well, and was the only person who required the tour in English. They were extremely accommodating...More
