Punda has a lot of charm! The buildings to the people and the foods, and shopping is unique! Its normally very hot so organizing your day is a better choice! Love the flavour of Curacao everywhere along the streets!

If you visit Willemstad visit both sides off the city, there are some nice renovations, go to the floating market and the round market where they have fresh fish and you can eat for a few $$. I love the old dutch influence, this makes the city different from all other Caribbean Islands.

We spent our last afternoon walking around Punda. There was a cruise ship that had just docked, which took away from the local vibe. There were plenty of shops and cafes to visit. The fruit and vegetable market was a nice addition. The colorful buildings on the water made for a nice backdrop. While it was nothing spectacular, if in... More

Little is a very good description. Some restaurants in the area. Some good some not too good. You definitely have to see the neighborhood. But don't plan to stay very long

Great village in this historical location. Lots of local flavor and people. Lots of boats come in and bring their wares from Venezuela (? this is what we were told) and dock along the shore so you can buy items right off the boat including fresh fish... but due to the issues there, not like it has been in the... Punda is a mix of some European flair, with it's colonial architecture and structure of the old town, but with a Caribbean colorful touch. I absolutely LOVE to wonder around, discovering beautiful buildings, some renovated, some abandoned (which I love to photograph).

It was the posh part of Willemstad. It offers a lot of cool looking houses. Lots of colors and some nice little walks. Quickly visited and well worth it.

Neat area for some tourist shopping. Many little shops, coffee areas and a fabulous bakery or too. Need a souvenir, you will be sure to find one here!
