Small beach but good facilities

The beach itself is small but the facilities are good and there are several restaurants from which to choose. It can get crowded but it never feels too crowded.

The upper beaches are in remote locations whereas this beach is near restaurants and a Fort that you can check out. It is also where Tugboat is located and you can snorkel it from shore. Had a little rough time with the Dutch, too bad they still separate color of people and repress the natives.

We drove from Westpunt to this beach to snorkel. We dhad d not like it because is was crowded, one chair right beside the other, the beach was small and looked man made, it cos $6 pp to get in and the same for the loungers. The beaches in Westpunt are nicer and free

We knew before going that we would not be in love with this place but we went anyways and enjoyed ourselves. There must be hundreds of beach chairs, so you get the picture. You have to pay to get into the beach which I found quite strange but oh well. It was quiet which was nice. If you like resort... More

I wasn't sure which beach was the Jan Thiel as we were staying at the Livingston Jan Thiel Resort. But any sunny day spent at a beach is better than beening at home in snow.

On this beach you will find shopping and restaurants. We went a few times but never swam here as the beach was small and not inviting.

Many people will find Jan Thiel Beach to be ideal for their preferences: it is the cruise-ship version of a Curacao beach. Jan Thiel is a colossal facility complete with shops, services, restaurants, and bars. It is clean, safe, and full of other tourists. Surprisingly, despite its artificial beachfront, it offered some exceptional snorkeling areas. Most of the visitors are... More
