Because of the geology of Dominica, the beaches are volcanic black sand or very rough rocks. Mero Beach is a volcanic black/gray sand beach. Dominica is still recovering from the hurricanes and this is the better beach on the Island. There are limited services here....More
It's OK. Wouldn't rave about the place. The food is below average and the beach help is rapatious rather than helpful, but if your emphasis is beach and quick, it's not too far from the Port - $15 in a cab.
