Very beautiful place and great experience. I went with family and my kids, and it was very easy to walk and enjoy the place. The only down side is that you have to take the elevator if you have an stroller with you and sometimes some of them doesnt work but other than that everything was great. The guide was... More

The caves were cool. Didn't like how the guy mentioned after we were already down there that rats may be running around (I'd deathly afraid of mice and rats). Every area you walk in automatically lights up which is cool but in some areas of our tour, they just shut off and the sensors didn't work. You have to sneak... More

This wonderfull cave was prepared to be walked easily and with some modifications that may make you not so much happy if you love the nature. You have to go there and be the judge. But you have to recognize that these modifications make the cave looks very elegant and make possible all people ca visit it.

We discovered this on Google maps, it was only about a mile or so from our hotel. We took a taxi $30 for four of us and$10 entry fee with an English speaking guide. It costs a lot more as part of an organised trip. The stalagmite and stalactite formations were beautifully lit to show them at their best. The... More

If you like caves you'll love this. We travelled independently in our hire car from Bavaro, 1 hour 20 mins. Beautifully lit and atmospheric. Cost DP300 pp- cheaper than dollars. Waited 10 mins for English speaking guide. Lots of steps down! No photography allowed.

The tour guide was funny, helpful and insightful. These caves were discovered around the 1940's and the government invested a lot of money to expand and make them accessible with even an elevator going down five levels. Beautiful rock formations but be careful, it's very very hot and super humid down there, Worth seeing.

This is one of the most beautiful caverns I have ever been inside. The view is simply breathtaking! Beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Lovely pools. There are some places where the stairs are a little steep, but don't let that stop you. You can choose to ascend or wait at the bottom while the more agile people go up. You will... More

We took a cab from LA Romana which was $50 US. The cave tour cost $10/person. This tour was very well presented and lasted perhaps 45 minutes. There are a lot of damp steps so if you are not real mobile you may reconsider. There is an elevator which I suppose could get a wheelchair down for a shortened tour... More

If you have never been here you should make it a point. This Cavern is as fascinating as it should be. Is extremely deep so make sure you have good shoes to go down. The only things is that their elevator is not always working therefore, going up is quite a climb. If you are traveling with a handicap person,... More
