The driver was friendly and picked us up at our hotel on an open air bus . It was about a 20 minute scenic drive to the buggies. Our buggy guides spoke good English and was very friendly and helpful. They did an amazing job.
Make sure you have close toed shoes or you will have to buy $15 water shoes. Make sure you have Sunglasses that covers your eyes well and a bandana you cover your mouth. A shirt can be used to cover your mouth too.
You will get very dirty, and if it rained recently, you will get very very dirty. I tried not to get too dirty but it was not possible.
It was fun but I didn't pack the right clothes and shoes for bugging. Bring clothes that can get very dirty. Bring a plastic bag for you items you bring in the car. They also have lockers for rent $5. You will drive through some neighborhoods and the kids wave and have there hand out for money. On other buggy trips the tour guides would have candy for us to buy to give to the kids. They kids would love if you bring candy, coins,or dollars. They will also be selling flowers too. We had to slow down for donkeys in the road. Our first stop at a scenic canyon area the tour guide gave us a bottle of water and took pictures of everyone. They also had photographers taking pictures along the way for sale later.
We came back to another Parton the buggy camp to take a quick rinse off, multiple samples Mama juana alcohol and coffee, also many other spice samples. Here you could buy any of these items along with paintings and jewelry.
On we went to our last top at the Cave to take a plunge into the water. This was Cool too! This was a chance to cool off and rinse the mud off. This was also a food and souvenir stop. The water in the cave is deep, so you can rent a life vest for $5 if you can't swim.
I gave a 4 star because buggies were a little beaten up. The roads are very rough so I understand why. There were a few other buggy companies that had nicer looking cars. Other than that, it was worth it.

Tour was around 3 hours like they advertise and overall was really good but there are some buts….

To start with the positives, it seems they have a semi private trail on the backroads. You get really dirty, the ride is bumpy, and if it rains there is definitely a lot of mud. It’s everything you signed up for.

Onto the negatives though, the last hour is spent with them trying to get you to buy stuff from them. They stop to do a coffee and cocoa presentation with was cool but it was more of a sales pitch then anything. From there you go to a cave that you can swim in that is surrounded by people hounding you to buy things. The cave is also the last stop by just about every other tour so it is PACKED.

They take pictures that come out really good and if you have an Apple phone they will airdrop them to you which was nice and convenient.

It’s a fun factory for sure. One group in another group out. People are friendly but impersonal. You get a buggy or a Polaris. Wear a mask, one you’d wear for a pandemic of some sort, and you’ll be fine you don’t need the bandana. You get extremely dirty, which is part of the fun. Me, I was looking forward extremely to the visit tot the cave where one can swim. This was by far the most disappointing part. The cave entrance is surrounded by salespeople who want to lure you in their shops. You need to tell them to “Mantenga la distancia” because they won’t hold their distance and they also touch you. Then the cave itself: all the buggy tours go here. So it’s completely insanely crowded. Nobody wears a mask, nobody keeps their distance and everyone spits in there. I mean…Superspreader for sure. Unacceptable in these times. The indifference of the guides to this shows that it’s, maybe also a passion, but they mostly want your money and don’t really care about your health. Just as the lot upstairs. The visit to the plantation was institutional. I highly doubt they really process cacao and coffee and all the other stuff there, but it was a nice stop. Fun. I mean I’d do it again but very impersonal.

What is advertised is not what you’ll get. I went with 9 family members in an overcrowded tour group of 30-40 buggies. The buggies are hardly drivable (mine shut off every time I took my foot off the gas) and majority of the tour was spent on repairing buggies. Total drive time in the buggies: 10 minutes (don’t go over 5mph or you’ll lose a tire!) First stop was “the mine”, which was a dirt hole littered with garbage, cow poop that will splash onto you as you drive, and young children begging for money. They came in swarms like hungry birds and stood beside our buggies while parked to beg, pointing at our possessions that they wanted. The guides had WHIPS to smack the children away. Second (and longest) stop was intended for coffee education. It was nothing more than a gift shop. Third and final was for “cave diving!”. After being harassed by the local vultures to spend $ on whatever they had to sell, me and 60+ others fought our way down a tiny staircase to a glorified watering hole. It was so small only 1 person could jump at a time. We opted not to. There are no ocean views, no cultural education, and the guides have no desire to connect or speak to the group - they’ll just herd you around with a whistle like a pack of cattle. You will not experience this island in any way by taking this tour. It’s a hazardous scam. Avoid at all costs!

This experience was the absolute worst! I would give it no stars if I could. Please do not waste your money but more importantly don't waste four hours of your time that you could spend having fun at your resort. The Huggies barely started up. They had to hot wire every single one and would stop throughout the trip for people to come up and BEG BEG BEG us for money. Then we pulled up to this cave and they let us take a Quick Look and didn't even want us to jump in. They were yelling at us to get back up to the stores and shop and wouldn't let us be in there for longer than 2 minutes. workers take your pictures and demand cash from you. It was so sketchy and scary we were siting on the buggies praying they would take us back and they kept yelling at us to get out and go buy soemthing. We were kissing the ground at the resort when my friends and I made it back safely. Horrible experience and def not one for children!!!! Or anybody that cares about their safety, time and money!!

This tour was not only a waste of money but an absolute scam! I cannot stress enough how absolutely terrible it is! The buggies had torn seats, rusted to a point of dilapidation, and tires pointing inward or outward making steering extremely difficult! The visit to the quarry was just the start of the absolute disgrace of an “excursion”. The ride to there is about 10 mins along a dirt road cluttered with trash and being begged for money. No where close to the brochures or website description. You stay there for about 20-25 mins while they repair broken cars and flat tires (due to the deplorable condition of the buggies, not road conditions) then you drive in a line of 30 buggies traveling at about 5 mph only to have not one but MULTIPLE buggies stall out. Then you drive back to the base where they put on a short presentation on coffee and cocoa productions and then try to sell you a ton of crap. Then you ride to the “cave” where you swim. This is about the side of a walk in closet and there’s a line of 50+ people waiting to jump in and then have to get right out to make room for the next person. This is on top of a 1+ hour ride to and from the facility to the resort areas. You learn absolutely nothing about the culture or area. They also make you pay $10 USD for face covers to protect yourself from first and flying cow poop (yes, you read that correct! It’s all over the trails and gets kicked up by the buggies). Please don’t waste your hard earned money.

Absolutely the worst excursion we have ever been on!!

We rented a family 4 seater and a 2 seater for our family. These are the worst maintained buggy's I have ever seen. Almost the point of dangerous! Ours broke down twice and the kids broke down 3 times leaving you stranded in the hot sun while they tried to get it going again. Along the route are TONS of children and adults begging for money. One little girl offer my wife a flower. Once she received it, she demanded a dollar. We were driving and following others and didn't have a dollar readily available to give her.
The Cave tour was nothing more than as area where some really pushy vendors tried to talk you into their shop to buy some overpriced crap while you walked to the "cave" entrance, which was really a small, smelly, hole with stagnant water in it. Some were swimming in what I would call a human soup likely filled with bacteria!

To top it all off. We paid for round trip open air bus. When we arrived, they shook us down for another $50.00 to get back to our resort. We paid, but felt really ripped off!

I can only assume that they are writing their own reviews in order to get a good rating on Trip Advisor! Everyone on our tour felt exactly like we did!

This might be the most fun excursion that we’ve ever taken, and we’ve done a lot over the years! Most importantly, be sure to wear clothes you don’t want to take home. We did bring home our shoes to try to salvage, but it’s iffy! It’s so worth it though! They pick you up on one of those big open air busses which is pretty fun by itself. When you get there, use the restroom, because there aren’t a lot of later options. Be prepared to wait as everyone gets situated. Either bring a bandanna/gator to cover your mouth or buy one there. Otherwise you’ll be eating mud! The guide is awesome and the photographers are so fun… they know all the good spots to grab pics! You can even ask them to take extras. When we went, the photo packs were $40 and there was no question we would be buying them! They airdrop them right to your iPhone if you have one so you can immediately post to facebook! The lower buggies are a little rough, but you get muddier, so again, it’s worth it! You get a great view of the countryside, and it was fun driving around the abandoned quarry. The second stop is a “farm.” You don’t really see much of the farm, but it’s interesting to hear how cocoa and coffee are harvested. You can smell and buy all sorts of local spices/coffees/etc. My hubs tried the coffee and said it was very good. And there are also restrooms there. The third leg of the trip takes you to a cave where you can swim in a cenote. It was really crowded and that wasn’t great, but most of the people were watching, with only 3 or 4 in the water at a time. The water, they say, is 25 feet deep. It’s cold and refreshing and quite a rush to jump in. I’m not a small girl, so I was worried about climbing out, but the guide watched my clothes and glasses and assured me it was easy to get out (and it was.) There are ropes you can hold onto, and at the edges you can ‘climb’ on the rocks. The photographers are there too and got some great pics (and also helped me out!). In the marketplace above, the vendors are quite assertive, but that’s to be expected.

Overall - this was SO FUN and we will do it again EVERY TIME we go back.

This "adventure" was a total waste of money and more importantly our time. All the people we interacted with were very friendly and helpful but unfortunately they have a bad product. It took an hour to get there from our hotel in Cap Cana. 1st we started out riding the buggies through the so called Dominican jungle, which was really just dusty countryside. Our guide paced us slowly along a dirt road with huge potholes stopping numerous times to make sure everyone in the group was still in line. Then into a old quarry and around in circles.

After that we drove back to a shelter that is called a "working plantation" to learn about coffee and chocolate. That involved a guy showing us coffee beans, a cocoa pod and explaining what Mamajuana is. Basically, just 3rd grade show and tell. Never saw any coffee plants or cocoa trees or anything that looked like a working plantation or a backyard garden for that matter. He passed around coffee beans, coco powder and a bottle of vanilla for us to smell. Same stuff that's in your cupboard at home.

Then after that, the grand finale was driving down another dirt road to a water filled cave to jump in for a couple minutes and have guys try to sell you tourist junk outside the cave. It was refreshing to get cooled down and rinse off all the dust in the water.

The main part of this "adventure" is supposed to be the buggy excursion but you never get to have any fun with those because the guides keeps you in line and going about as fast a golf cart. We we're picked up at 7:45 and didn't get back to our hotel until about 2, so we wasted almost an entire day of our vacation for the most boring adventure of a lifetime.

I would not recommend this tour or do this tour again. We were transported from the resort to the Wild Tiger by an open air bus so we did get a good view of the area, which was a positive. Once at Wild Tiger we had to purchase bandanas as this excursion was not originally planned so we did not travel with bandanas. They had souvenirs, drinks and snacks available for purchase as well. We were given a quick intro to the buggies where the guide mentioned something about children that I didn't quite understand. Once we left the Wild Tiger property, I understood what he was saying. Droves of children standing by the roadside begging, he instructed us not to interact with them and I can understand it was for their safety but my goodness they were inches from our vehicles and it's a miracle they do not get hit. The drive was very slow, as the guide is the lead car and he does not allow too fast of driving. It had rained the night before so we got good and muddy. The quarry was disappointing, just a trash hole mostly. We were provided with bottled water at the quarry so the photographer could take his pictures. Then on to the coffee presentation which had a gift shop with free samples of coffee, hot chocolate and cigars. Then on to the cave which was the worst part of the tour. We felt like chum in the water to the swarm of vendors yelling at us to shop at their store as we walked the cave. It was actually kind of scary at how aggressive they were! The cave was a small, dark hole of water that the guide was rushing everyone to jump in and get out and head back up to the swarm of vendors. Once back at Wild Tiger you are shown the pictures the photographer took in hopes of someone purchasing. This was a total of 4 hours tour which I was glad it wasn't a whole day. Again, I would not recommend this tour, there are many other things to do in Punta Cana, don't waste your time on the buggies.
