Oh Macao Beach! I've visited this beach on every trip to Punta Cana this year. This is a great beach to mingle with locals, listen and dance in your bikini if you feel like it. I skinny-dipped privately just to say I did it and...More

My husband and I were here one morning for beginners surfing lessons. The beach was beautiful ... Not at all busy (note we visited during off peak season) and PERFECT waves in the morning for first time surfers.

Visited after a tour. Clean water with awesome surf to bodyboard. Wish we had more time to relax and enjoy.

We visited this beach on an excursion and it is definitely a local beach. There seemed to be a tourist section and then a more lively local section farther down the beach. The waves here were much larger then the quiet bavaro beach. The sand...More

We visited this beach as a stop on an island tour. Very pretty, and publicly-owned land. Beware of the beach vendors, especially the guys with animals who'll offer to take pictures and then expect payment.
