We visited Samaná town for 4 days. Rubbish is thrown everywhere. The pretty painted houses are a facade with just a couple of shops and a tourist office. Plenty of tat to buy and the noise from the seafront cafes, motorbikes, loud speakers on vans...More

This town has a world mix of small restaurants (chinese, italian, spanish, french, dominican, etc) as well as beatiful jogging/bicycle boulevard by the sea and a pier to take a small boat to take you to the beach at Cayo Levantado island 15 minutes away....More
